About Missing News.
Advanced technology. Human purpose.
Missing News exists for the people who are missing, and the people who love them. Every story we publish and every system we build is in service of getting them home.
01 Awareness
A missing-persons case is only as alive as the attention on it. We create clear, accurate, respectful content about missing people, grounded in documented and sourced facts, never speculation or spectacle. Visibility is not a vanity metric here: the right detail in front of the right person is often what moves a case.
02 Research
Behind the stories, we are developing AI and open-source intelligence (OSINT) methods to accelerate the discovery, investigation, intelligence, and data work that goes into locating missing people. That means turning fragmented public information into structured, sourced, verifiable case files, surfacing connections faster, and giving investigators and advocates a clearer picture sooner. The aim is to shorten the distance between a case going cold and a family getting an answer.
How we work
- Facts only. Every claim is sourced and dated. We grade our sources and flag what is uncertain.
- Respect first. We write about people, not cases. No sensationalism, no blame, no exploitation.
- In support, not in place. We are not law enforcement. We exist to support the investigators, organizations, and families already carrying the weight.
- Open by method. Our research leans on public, lawful information and transparent methods.
